Classes in this division are meant to be fun and encourage confidence while introducing basic dance movement and musicality. Students will work on flexibility, self-expression, coordination and participation in group activities. As students’ progress the classes will become more professionally structured as we introduce dance positions, proper posture and nomenclature. All creative movement division classes are offered as an enrollment, which consists of ~18 classes per semester. Students must be 2½ years old by August 22nd.
Ballet, Tap, and Jazz.
Ballet, Tap, Hip-Hop, and Jazz. Classes are based on individual progress. All ballet classes will follow a classical ballet structure: barre, center and across the floor routines so that dancers develop a more well rounded technique. More advanced choreography will also be introduced. As students improve in strength and technique they will be able to take pre-pointe and pointe classes. Dedication to improvement and hard work will result in level advancement. Our learning environment will remain fun and stress free ensuring that each student gets equal instruction and has a great time.
